About the horse
McQueen came to the club in 2017 and at first worked with riders in group programmes. There he learned to forgive mistakes and to prompt even those who were sitting on a horse for the first time. These days the silver bay belongs to the private programme team.
Among his four legged friends Mac is the leader, but under saddle he treats the rider as an equal partner, helping out in tricky moments and working through whatever the coach sets.
Beginners learn the basics with McQueen: moving from one gait to another, changing direction, keeping their balance. More advanced riders work on fences of every shape and difficulty and, most importantly, on believing in themselves and in the horse.
